Christmas Mini-Sessions

I spent a few days doing promos for my upcoming Christmas mini sessions, and I’m so tickled with how these turned out.

Holiday Children’s Photography

I had four different set-ups planned, though one of the backdrops didn’t arrive in time. Luckily, I had also ordered the gold and glitter backdrop as a tester for the backdrop company—and it worked out wonderfully. I love the rich colors and the simplicity of the setup. It’s kinda fancy but still cute. And it just screams ‘bring on the glitter!’ which, if you know me, it’s one of my weaknesses. Everything’s better with glitter. :D

Holiday Props and Themes

I also spent weeks and weeks searching for fun props to add to the themed backgrounds. The pajamas in bed set was a particular favorite for the kiddos because they were so comfortable. The kids got to play with teddy bears and pretend to eat fake milk and cookies, read Twas the Night Before Christmas, and bounce around on the air mattress.

One of my favorite moments with the bed prop was when the triplets thought the backdrop was a real bed and tried to climb it!

Wintry Backdrops for Holiday Fun

The Santa house was a little more involved. I’m glad I did some model calls before the real sessions, because I learned a few things. Mainly: babies like to eat fake snow, and that’s no bueno! I’ve changed things up since these sessions to keep the babies safe while still having a cute set-up.

The hot cocoa set is adorable. This is the first one I bought when I decided to do mini sessions. It looks so realistic!

And even models get cranky some times and just aren’t feelin’ it. But that’s ok because they are still so stinkin’ cute!

I’m so glad that I did these model call sessions so I could make my mini sessions run more efficiently. I learned a lot about how to get the best holiday portraits with these fun themed backdrops. Thank you to all the families who volunteered their time—and their kids!—to help me out.
